Excellent service and a great variety of Colombian food it's a place to visit as many times as possible
This was my first time at Mondongo's and I will definitely be back. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was family friendly and relaxed. We were greeted by a very nice hostess and once our party arrives we were sat quickly. Our waiter recommended a wonderful drink, which was Prosecco with lychee and strawberries, very delicious! Then we ordered empanadas for the table. They were very tasty. I had the pollo a la plancha with plátano, arroz and arepa. It was very tasty. A good size portion. I could have eaten the whole plate but I controlled myself and took half home, and now I have a delicious lunch for tomorrow! For dessert we had breva con arequipe. This was not my favorite, while I do like figs, queso fresco, and arequipe; I did not like it all together. The others in my party felt the same way. However , I don't think this is the restaurants fault, I think I just don't like this dish. All in all, it was a great time with great foods and great friends. If you are looking for a homey place to relax with family or friends and enjoy a good meal, this is the place for you!
The ambiance is energetic and lively. It was quite packed on a Sunday afternoon but we were seated promptly. The service was efficient. Our server suggested an excellent drink which we all enjoyed. I like that the menu is simple. There are not too many items to choose from. It's your typical Colombian dishes without the undesired "fusion" that so many new places lean to. All of our orders were delicious and filling and typical Colombian cuisine. I will be back!
My family went and brought me takeout. I got the fish (pescado) which was a huge portion! And good! Came with tarter sauce, avocado, tomato, rice, and a big patacon.
Food is always good, service great and ambience simple a bit loud but is a restaurant just to go eat and leave right away , it's more of an every day spot to have lunch or dinner nothing special. We had bandeja Paisa , mondongo and empanadas and they were good,
